CelluPhot: Hybrid Cellulose-Bismuth Oxybromide Membrane for Pollutant Removal

Slabon and Mathew from Stockholm University present a new concept entitled Celluphot to address environmental pollution in water. A biobased photocatalyst containing a cellulose framework can remove organic and inorganic pollutants simultaneously. Additionally, the material may be used to prevent exposure of metal ions, results from leaching from nanoparticles, to the environment.
